This Patsy Brand Smoked Sardines label is from the 1940s. It measures 2.75” Wide x 4” High and features a cute dog in a wicker basket. The sardines were packed in salad oil that was expressed from soy beans. This sardine label comes from the Sunset Packing Company of West Pembroke, Maine.
The Sunset Packing Company started operations in 1900 and was the largest sardine factory in West Pembroke.
It also manufactured oils and mustards used to flavor the sardines. The Sunset Packing Co. had to close its doors in 1962 due to competition from Norway.

label is from the 1940s. The very colorful label features the top lookout post on a masked schooner and measures 2.75” Wide x 4” High with rounded corners. The sardines were packed in pure olive oil that had salt added. With its bright orange and red background, this is an impressive label to add to your collection or use in decoupage.

This 4" Tall label was found at the Sunset Packing Company warehouse in West Pembroke, Massachusetts. The label has a sailor in foul weather gear smoking a pipe with bright colors and nice details.
The Sunset Packing Company started operations in 1900 and closed its doors in 1962.
