Description
FOR USE IN AIRFORCE TEXAN .50 CALIBER ONLY! This pellet was specifically designed for use in the .500/.510 bore Airforce Texan .50 Caliber PCP Airgun. It has only been tested in this model of airgun. DO NOT USE IN OTHER TYPES OF AIRGUNS. In .495 bore diameter ".50 Caliber" airguns such as the Seneca/Sam Yang Dragon Claw, it will be too tight! The .9" length of these pellets allow them to properly fit in the loading port of the Airforce Texan .50 Caliber.Instead of highly Toxic Lead like most pellets, this pellet consists of an outer shell made of 6061-T6511 Aluminum. It has an inner screw-in core made of 1215 Steel, which adds weight to the pellet (see photos). These materials are, or are essentially, "Lead-Free" in that they contain less than 1% Lead by weight. This is the Threshold used by the State of California for a pellet to be considered "Non-Lead", which is in the same category as "Lead-Free" in that state and most regions. The precision CNC Lathe-machined .472"/.474" diameter Aluminum outer shell of the pellet does not contact the rifle bore. The "interface" between the pellet and the bore is accomplished by the use of two "Buna-N" O-Rings resting in precision-machined grooves. The O-Rings can flex and conform to the air rifle bore, while still imparting spin to the pellet. To help decrease the chance of ricochets, the pointed nose of the pellet and flat front of the steel core create an inner void (see photo). This allows the aluminum nose to deform upon impact with hard objects(however- still avoid shooting at hard surfaces!). There are 24 pellets in a pack. Weight 153 grains. Made in USA. This listing complies with Ebay's current airgun pellet policy.
