    Description

    Antique Primitive Fishing Creel Basket
    This was a great old estate find.  It looks like someone took an old antique basket and added a wood top and a strap to make it a primitive fishing creel.
    The basket is in good, though old condition, solid and sturdy.  The wood top was added on and there are leather hinges in the back and a leather strap that closes over a metal piece on the front.
    There are two holds fashioned in the back of the basket allow a leather and canvas strap to thread through and make a carrying strap.  The leather on the strap is cracked and may not be able to be used for carrying anything but would work as decoration on the basket.
    There is a single hole cut in the wood top.   The basket measures 10" wide, 9" tall and 5" deep.
    Great antique Basket Fishing Creel Basket.  Would look great on a front door.
