For sale is this very nice and completely intact,
early to mid 20th century

fly and freshwater fishing creel, with hand woven wicker sidewalls and hinged lid, trimmed out with hand sewn leather and a canvas shoulder strap.
Even the
front buckle leather strap is intact
and not split or broken away from previous use. The hinged lid opens and closes freely and the
heavy canvas shoulder strap is also complete and intact.
The inside of the creel also doesn't have any foul odors, mildew or mold. The creel's clean, inside and out and the leather's remained extraordinarily supple and flexible. This means the vintage creel wasn't relegated to a hot attic, where it certainly would have dried out. Instead the leather shows only evidence of prior use in the field. The hand woven wicker sidewalls are also fully intact, with no corner blow-outs or edge loss. An extraordinary
