It's true ... We throw a little extra ammo in every pack. I mean ... who doesn't like to get free stuff? We at Flanigan's realize the importance of great ammunition. Each shot could be made to dispatch a predator, rid your property of vermin, defend your home or put meat in the freezer. And if each shot might be that important, we hand craft each round under the assumption that every shot will be that important. We source only the highest quality, pure lead for our castings. We actually bought a bunch of ammo from our competition, everyone from the big corporate producers to the fringe makers that seem to be popping up out of nowhere, making ridiculous and unfortunately bogus claims about their ammo. We tried it, tested it, then threw it in one of our melters to see what it was really made of. None of it performed as well as ours in our tests and what we found when we melted it down was just scary. When melted and heated up to the temperatures at which lead disassociates from impurities, we found layer after layer of aluminum dust, zinc and dirt floating on the surface. Lots of it. Large production processes tend to import their lead from whoever can supply it at the lowest price per pound. The generally turns out to be "pig lead", surplus junk lead that is often imported from third world countries Ammo that is swaged is most often made from spools of this pig lead that has been pulled through an extruder. It's dull grey in color and full of impurities, some of which are downright poisonous. Antimony is one of the worst. It is often added to the alloys to make them harder which is the last thing you want sailing down your barrel, scarring up the rifling and reducing your accuracy with every shot you take. At Flanigan's,, each round is cast by hand from the best lead on the market. You will never find lead dust in the bottom of your package and none of our ammo sits for more than a day or two after being cast then vacuum sealed, so there is zero chance of oxidation. The owner has been an avid airgunner for over 50 years, so we also know the damage petroleum-based lubricants can cause to the seals in your airgun, so we don't allow them in the shop. Whether it's lubing a mold, equipment or for sizing, we only use our proprietary hydrophobic ceramic suspension liquid. You paid a small fortune for your toys and we take great care to ensure we produce nothing that could cause damage to your platform. Everything is cast in small batches to ensure the best QC outcome. While the big guys use mindless machines to churn out their ammo at the cheapest rate they can find to ensure a healthy bottom line at your expense, we refuse to make any ammo we wouldn't use in our personal guns. We're small, but we've been around for a long time. Don't roll the dice on some chuckle-head who bought a mold off Amazon and decided to try their hand at making some slugs. Your ammo is too important to take that kind of chance. And don't throw more money into the pockets of "Big Ammo" companies who use sub-standard raw materials and could care less if you bag that deer with a one shot humane harvest. Buy Flanigan's Precision Airgun Ammunition and FEED YER GUN THE GOOD STUFF! You'll be glad ya did.
