Vintage 1940 No.111 Daisy Red Ryder Air Rifle. Worked But Spring Fell Out.. Condition is "Used".
This was working but it stopped and I took the stock off and found the spring that goes behind the trigger and attaches to the stock fell out of alignment. I tried to put it back but it broke into two pieces. Ugh! So this does work when that spring is in place. You should be able to buy another spring for a few bucks and pop it right in. When it was working, it was shooting so much smoother than any of the newer models I have. They just don’t make them like they used to. Cosmetically this is in beautiful condition. Please see photos.
I know it is marked no.111, but I am not sure if the bands on this are the original copper ones. The patina doesn’t look right so I think the original black bands may have been plated or painted. I’m not about to go scratching around to find out as I don’t want to ruin anything. Other than that question, I think this would be a great addition to any gun collection.
